Job Title: Plant Operator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Plant Operator to join our team at Children's Health. As a Plant Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our chiller and boiler plant equipment, as well as our facility's HVAC systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain chiller and boiler plant equipment, including chillers, chilled water pumps, condensing water pumps, cooling towers, and associated equipment.
  • Operate and maintain facility HVAC systems, including air handling units, fan coil units, split systems, humidifiers, exhaust fans, VAV boxes, DX units, and Liebert units.
  • Assist in the repair and maintenance of complex piping systems, including steam piping, chilled water piping, and valves.
  • Knowledge of building automation systems, fire/smoke damper repairs, OR support, and general hot/cold call support.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of related experience in boiler operation and maintenance, chiller/chilled water operation and maintenance, HVAC systems, or pipe fitting.
  • At least 7 years of related experience in boiler operation and maintenance, chiller/chilled water operation and maintenance, HVAC systems, or pipe fitting preferred.

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Two-year Associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • HVAC Technician Certification and Universal EPA License preferred.
  • Stationary Engineer License, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade preferred.
  • Pipe Fitting Certification preferred.
  • Chilled Water Certification preferred.
