Role and Responsibilities

The Ventilator Management Expert role at Danbury Hospital involves providing support on a Per Diem basis as a Registered Respiratory Therapist. The ideal candidate will have experience in ventilator management and be able to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage ventilator protocols and help assess cardiopulmonary status
• Reduce length of patient stay on ventilator and in Intensive Care Unit
• Treat hypoxia/bronchospasm with proper modality
• Draw arterial blood gases and analyze results

Requirements:

• Advanced level Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
• CPR-Healthcare Provider certification
• Ventilator management skills for Adults and NICU
• Minimum one year of experience
