Job Title: Field and Housing Inspector

At Allworld Project Management, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Field and Housing Inspector to join our team. As a Field and Housing Inspector, you will be responsible for evaluating and ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of residential properties.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive inspections of residential properties to assess their condition and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal housing codes and regulations.
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports documenting observations, deficiencies, and recommendations.
  • Verify that properties meet required safety standards, including electrical systems, plumbing, structural integrity, and overall habitability.
  • Offer expert advice to property owners and managers on necessary repairs or upgrades to bring properties into compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Work closely with local government agencies, contractors, and other stakeholders to address any violations or issues found during inspections.
Requirements:
  • Education: GED or High School degree required; further education in construction management, building technology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in housing inspection, construction, or a related field.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Housing Inspector Certification, Building Inspector Certification, or similar credentials are desirable.
Working Conditions:

Primarily field-based inspections with some office work for report preparation and coordination. Typically works at residential properties, outdoor and in all-weather conditions.

Ability to inspect various property conditions, which may involve climbing ladders, crouching, or stand for long periods of time and may involve manual labor.

You will need to be able to stand, sit, walk, bend, stoop, reach, lift, push, pull, and carry items.

Occasional travel within the assigned inspection area may be required.
