KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist members visiting the credit union by addressing their inquiries and providing support.
- Promote and sell products and services directly to members.
- Establish, maintain, and close various financial savings accounts within set guidelines.
- Issue debit and pre-paid cards while actively promoting UniWyo's offerings.
- Ensure compliance with Credit Union policies and procedures.
- Support the growth of new business by being knowledgeable about all products and services, including relevant rates and parameters.
Perform a variety of member transactions, including accepting deposits and loan payments, assisting with withdrawals, cash advances, transfers, and check transactions. Ensure daily balancing of assigned teller drawer and maintain security and confidentiality of member information. Understand member relationship management to identify potential sales opportunities for referral to the sales team.
Respond to member requests, concerns, and complaints regarding their accounts. Communicate effectively to convey information and address member needs promptly and accurately.
Handle correspondence-related tasks, compiling information and routing it to appropriate departments. Maintain organized files and enter data into electronic and manual systems. Assist the Branch Manager as needed and respond to inquiries made through various channels.
Support the training of new service representatives and recommend improvements to existing policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with the Bank Secrecy and Anti-Money Laundering Acts, monitoring for any illegal activities relevant to this role.
Perform additional duties as assigned or required.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Understanding of applicable credit union regulations and governing rules.
- Familiarity with the Credit Union's policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of records management principles.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Adept at prioritizing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to analyze and recommend solutions to problems.
- Skill in establishing effective working relationships with colleagues and the public.
- Proficient in using personal computers and various software applications.
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
A high school diploma or GED along with one (1) year of relevant experience in accounting, banking, service, or a closely related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software.
- Ability to lift and transport items weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Willingness to work outside traditional hours as needed.
