Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

Emergency Department Nursing services will be delivered in accordance with established healthcare policies. Key duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Accountability for all aspects of the nursing process while providing and supervising direct patient care
  • Assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care tailored to specific age groups
  • Coordination of care focusing on patient transitions, education, self-management post-discharge, and factors influencing patient satisfaction
  • Consideration of individual characteristics such as age, health status, cultural background, and personal values
  • Administration of medications and procedures in line with established protocols
  • Collaboration with interdisciplinary team members to influence care outcomes
  • Effective communication with individuals from diverse educational and ethnic backgrounds
  • Team collaboration across all assignments
  • Participation in quality improvement initiatives and customer service programs

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited Registered Nurse academic program (BSN or ADN)
  • Current Registered Nurse licensure in at least one state or territory of the United States
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • A minimum of three years of recent experience in an Emergency Room setting is required
  • No sponsorship is available

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach overhead during shifts
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs
  • Capacity to carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
  • Ability to push/pull with a force of 30 lbs
