About the Role
Molex is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive current and new customer engagements for our Optical Connectivity Products with a focus on the Data Center market.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish yourself as a subject matter expert for Optical Connectivity products and provide consultative selling by demonstrating the value and benefits of our solutions, tailored to a customer's requirements.
- Collaborate with the Molex Sales team to sell and promote Molex solutions in target market segments, participating in multi-location account development activities and meetings when required.
- Develop an understanding of target customer and prospect profiles, applications, needs, problems, and their expectations.
- Work with Product Management, Sales, and other stakeholders in Molex to continuously identify and refine target customers and market segments.
- Track trends in the industry/market segments that will drive new opportunities for sales/revenues in the assigned region.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, marketing, or a related field.
- Experience as a Business Development Manager or Sales Account Manager with a proven track record.
- Understanding and experience with value pricing and customer negotiation.
- Experience working in a global environment.
- Experience presenting to customers and business leaders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Data Center requirements related to Optical Solutions with a focus on Optical Connectivity Connectors & Assy's.
- Ability to develop value propositions in customers' language.
- Experience working with Hyperscale and Cloud Scale Data Center Opportunities.
- Product Management experience in the Fiber Optic Interconnect market.
