POSITION OBJECTIVE:

We are seeking a seasoned and proactive Head of Employee Engagement & Talent Development to enhance our organizational culture and workforce capabilities.

This critical position will spearhead initiatives aimed at attracting, nurturing, and retaining exceptional talent while promoting a positive and engaging workplace atmosphere. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in human resources, particularly in devising and executing strategies that elevate the employee experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Enhancing Employee Experience:

  • Formulate and implement a holistic strategy that aligns with our organizational mission, values, and objectives, ensuring all HR practices and interactions reflect these principles.
  • Cultivate a culture of engagement, inclusivity, and continuous improvement throughout the employee lifecycle by initiating programs that boost satisfaction, retention, and overall well-being.
  • Design and lead recognition initiatives that honor and reward employee contributions across the organization.
  • Develop strategies and frameworks to drive employee engagement, including regular engagement events and annual celebrations.
  • Implement an employee feedback program to collect and analyze insights, using the data to inform improvements and address concerns.
  • Chair a committee of culture ambassadors dedicated to advancing our workplace environment in alignment with our growth and values.
  • Establish and oversee corporate diversity policies and lead all aspects of diversity initiatives.
  • Build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support our diversity objectives.

Talent Development:

  • Oversee performance management processes, including goal setting, evaluations, and feedback systems.
  • Collaborate with key leaders and cross-functional teams to implement performance management initiatives across various business units.
  • Develop resources, tools, and training programs to facilitate readiness, manage change, and promote ownership throughout the organization.
  • Ensure clear communication strategies are established for any talent initiatives, delivering timely and relevant information to the intended audience.
  • Align talent management programs with our organizational philosophy and integrate them seamlessly into HR technology and practices.
  • Utilize data analytics to assess the effectiveness of talent management initiatives and inform decision-making.
  • Lead succession planning and career development initiatives to ensure the organization is prepared for future growth.

Collaboration and Strategic Partnerships:

  • Work in tandem with HR colleagues in Learning & Development, Compensation, Legal, and HR Programs to create comprehensive solutions that enhance the employee experience.
  • Collaborate with regional HR partners to ensure consistency of engagement initiatives across various locations.
  • Partner with Employee Relations to address and resolve employee concerns effectively.
  • Provide coaching and support to leaders at all levels to empower them in fostering a positive employee experience.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate engagement principles into management practices.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in human resource management, focusing on employee engagement and diversity & inclusion.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to deliver complex projects within established timelines and budget constraints.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills.
  • Excellent group facilitation abilities.
  • Capacity to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
  • Flexibility to adapt to organizational and employee needs.
  • Ability to engage with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Outstanding communication and organizational skills.
