Essential Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

1. **Floor Maintenance:** Perform daily sweeping, mopping, and periodic refinishing of floors.
2. **Restroom Sanitation:** Ensure cleanliness by mopping, disinfecting surfaces, and restocking supplies.
3. **Dusting and Polishing:** Regularly clean furniture, fixtures, and surfaces to maintain a tidy environment.
4. **Carpet Care:** Vacuum and spot clean carpets, using appropriate cleaning agents.
5. **Waste Management:** Remove trash and debris, ensuring proper disposal and recycling practices.
6. **Chemical Safety:** Utilize cleaning chemicals responsibly, adhering to safety guidelines and proper storage protocols.
7. **Security Duties:** Manage access to assigned areas, including locking and unlocking facilities as scheduled.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

- Ability to follow both oral and written instructions.
- Physical capability to lift and move heavy items regularly.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with faculty, staff, and students.
- Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and their safe application.

Preferred Qualifications

Position Type

This is a permanent, full-time position with a standard work schedule of 40 hours per week, primarily during the evening shift. Flexibility for weekend work and additional hours may be required based on operational needs.

Physical Demands

Applicants should be prepared for physical tasks including lifting, moving furniture, and operating cleaning equipment. Climbing ladders and managing heavy athletic equipment may also be necessary.
