About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director to lead our Montana Chapter. As the face of the American Red Cross in the region, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with local elected officials, community leaders, and stakeholders. Your primary goal will be to increase awareness and support for the Red Cross mission, while also driving revenue growth and mission capacity building.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Community Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with local elected officials, community leaders, and stakeholders to increase awareness and support for the Red Cross mission.
  2. Revenue Growth: Lead the chapter in achieving revenue targets, including support of Sound the Alarm events and board member external solicitation goals.
  3. Mission Capacity Building: Support achievement of region volunteer engagement goals, blood collection goals, and community engagement mission goals by identifying and stewarding strategic relationships in the community.
  4. Chapter Board Management: Develop and manage the chapter board to effectively mobilize support and resources around the Red Cross mission.
  5. Community Volunteer Leaders: Develop, lead, and manage community volunteer leaders who serve as the face of the Red Cross in assigned territories and support mission capacity building.
  6. Teamwork and Inclusion: Create an environment of teamwork and inclusion to effectively deliver against the Red Cross mission.

Requirements:

  • Four-year college degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Finance, or non-profit administration or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years related experience, with demonstrated ability to exercise good and timely judgment in complex situations.
  • Strong communications and influencing skills, with public speaking and writing experience.
  • Proven experience in building and maintaining strong relationships with community leaders and stakeholders.
  • Management experience preferred, with ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage change.
