The Equipment Rental Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the optimal performance of the checkout center's equipment. Key responsibilities include managing equipment reservations, facilitating checkouts and returns, and maintaining an accurate equipment inventory database.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor classrooms and labs to guarantee that all hardware is functioning correctly.
- Provide assistance to students and faculty in obtaining the appropriate equipment.
- Address inquiries from students and end users, serving as a resource for information.
- Lead work-study students in their tasks and ensure effective collaboration.
- Input reservations into the online checkout system and oversee the safety of student setups.
Essential Duties:
- Conduct thorough inspections of equipment to ensure proper functionality.
- File and communicate troubleshooting reports effectively.
- Maintain organized storage of equipment and uphold the orderliness of studio spaces.
- Assist in precise inventory management practices.
- At the end of each day, inspect all rooms to prepare for the following day, ensuring readiness for next-day pickups and adherence to studio policies.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in cinematography.
- Familiarity with continuous and strobe lighting equipment, as well as knowledge of film and digital cameras.
- Understanding of technical and safety protocols necessary for film productions.
- Strong customer service, communication, organizational, scheduling, and troubleshooting abilities.
- Proficient in computer systems, peripheral devices, educational technologies, and both Windows and MacOS operating systems.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Travel may be necessary, approximately 10% to 20% of the time.
The standard work week spans from Sunday to Saturday, with most offices operating Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Employees may be assigned to alternate workdays and hours, including weekends and evenings, to meet business needs.
