Job Summary

As a Clinical Services Manager at UHS, you will be responsible for managing clinical functions and providing clinical services/programming for patients on the acute units. This role requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Provides direction and maintains responsibility for the quality of programming offered on the assigned units, from a clinical, financial and safety standpoint.
• Supervises therapy staff, student interns and maintains responsibility for staff assignments and clinical coverage.
• Conducts performance evaluations of assigned pool and full-time staff.
• Ensures needs of physicians, referral sources and other community resources are met.
• In conjunction with Nurse Manager, takes leadership role in team meetings.
• Leads clinical staff meeting as needed.
• Takes leadership in ensuring patient staffings take place as per policy.
• Monitors Performance Improvement activities for clinical program indicators.
• Provides individual, family and group therapy as necessary, and documents per hospital policy.
• Provides and arranges necessary education for staff, and ensures clinical staff are current with mandatory training.
• Maintains good working relationships with other departments in the hospital.
• Ensures hospital policy and procedures are implemented.
• Ensures special treatment procedures, or any other restriction of rights, are in compliance with hospital policies and reflect in the patient's treatment plans as needed.
• Participates in processing grievances generated by patients, their guardians, staff or outside agencies.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal skills, strong assessment and interpersonal skills.
• Competency in individual, family and group psychotherapy.
• Familiarity with TDH standards and commitment process.
• Master's Degree.
• LCSW, LMSW, LPC, or LPC-I licensure/certification.
• Minimum 2 years post licensure experience working with psychiatric population.
• At least 1 year supervisory experience.
• Ability to speak and write.
• Hearing and vision sufficient to perform essential tasks.
• Emotional stability necessary to perform essential functions.
• Ability to perform CPR.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
