Caregiver, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Staff to join our team in San Antonio, TX.

About the Role:

We are looking for a caring and patient individual to provide support and assistance to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting. As a Residential Support Staff, you will be responsible for facilitating daily living activities, providing direct support, and promoting independence and empowerment of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist consumers in daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dining skills, and housekeeping skills.
  • Provide direct support and assistance to consumers in training activities and daily routines.
  • Aid in mobility and assist with meal service, promoting social skills and personal dignity.
  • Administer medications and treatments according to company policy.
  • Monitor consumers' activities to ensure safety and health care practices are observed.
  • Participate in the daily operation of the home, including grocery shopping, overseeing consumers' money, and monitoring the physical plant.
Requirements:

  • A high school education or its equivalent is preferred.
  • Some previous experience in supporting/assisting those with disabilities is preferred.
  • Must be eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
