HVAC Service Technician

Team Mechanical is seeking a skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for performing routine HVACR service activities independently, demonstrating expertise and efficiency for commercial and residential customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine HVACR service activities independently, demonstrating expertise and efficiency for commercial and residential customers.
- Assist Senior Service Technician(s) in training other employees on service-related subjects, including call-back prevention and equipment protocols.
- Conduct point-of-work sales of IAQ services, unit components, unit replacements, add-on units, and residential service contracts.
- Develop lead referrals for the sales staff by identifying potential opportunities during service interactions.
- Engage with a diverse range of contacts, including service customers, fellow technicians, the Service Manager, Dispatcher, and Parts Runners.
- Execute related duties as directed by the Service Manager to contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the service team.
Requirements:
- High school graduate and completion of a post-secondary HVACR program and 5+ years of field experience
- Strong verbal and reading skills, with the ability to comprehend and apply manufacturers' instructions and communicate effectively with residential and commercial customers, suppliers, and colleagues
- Physical ability to perform duties under various conditions and extreme weather found in South Texas
- Initiative in self-study, company training, manufacturers' workshops, and other professional development activities to maintain and advance HVACR skills
- Current Texas operator's license and the capability to operate all vehicles in the corporate fleet within 30 days of initial employment, with insurability by the current insurance carrier.
- Ability to work under pressure of time, non-standard schedules, weather conditions, customer needs, and backlog constraints.
- TDLR Registration
- EPA 608 Universal
- Maintain a customer-centric mindset, ensuring a focus on customer satisfaction and service excellence
- Embody a collaborative and team-oriented spirit, promoting a positive and cooperative workplace culture
- Must be authorized to work in the US.
