Position Summary: Reporting directly to the Pricing and Quotation Supervisor, the Service Pricing Specialist will be instrumental in aiding our sales and service teams with pricing strategies for Caterpillar equipment aftermarket services. Leveraging their expertise in maintenance and repair, they will utilize advanced systems and applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive pricing summaries for equipment rebuilds, including detailed material lists and quotations.
  • Conduct thorough research and compile various levels of service pricing for equipment rebuilds, from complete machine scopes to individual components.
  • Implement relevant discount programs and analyze historical data to establish competitive pricing frameworks.
  • Provide insights and recommendations that are crucial for achieving supply milestones and enhancing customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • A Trade Certificate in Mobile Plant Maintenance or equivalent tertiary qualifications is highly regarded.
  • Post-qualification experience in maintenance within mining and construction equipment is preferred.
  • Proven expertise in equipment and component rebuilds or repairs, with a solid understanding of service, parts, and maintenance costs.
  • Strong commercial acumen and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain productive relationships.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and internet applications.
  • Attention to detail, particularly with numerical data.
  • Advanced time management, planning, and organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • A collaborative team player with the ability to work independently when required.
  • Experience with continuous improvement and lean methodologies is advantageous.
