Position Overview
This role is integral to supporting the principal investigator in addressing scientific and medical inquiries while facilitating the publication of experimental findings. The individual will oversee laboratory functions and conduct advanced molecular and cellular biological experiments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enhance and execute a variety of laboratory methodologies and perform intricate laboratory tasks to ensure timely project completion.
  • Assist research technicians and students engaged in laboratory research.
  • Manage the organization and storage of laboratory data and test outcomes for the principal investigator's use.
  • Supervise the tracking, ordering, and appropriate storage of laboratory supplies.
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain specialized laboratory equipment.
  • Prepare figures and data tables for the dissemination of research results.
  • Engage in discussions with the principal investigator to assess and interpret data validity and laboratory procedures.
  • Promptly report any research discrepancies or concerns to the principal investigator.
  • Perform additional related duties as required.
Qualifications
Education
Required: Bachelor's degree in biological sciences or a related field.
Preferred: Master's degree in biological sciences or a related discipline.

Experience
Required: Minimum of 3 years of relevant research experience.
Preferred: Minimum of 5 years of relevant research experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain laboratory inventory and documentation.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting information clearly and professionally.
  • Proficient in utilizing computers, software, and web-based applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaborative abilities.
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks and engage in various projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to think independently, troubleshoot technical issues, and comprehend experimental processes.
  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity in scientific projects and literature.
  • Leadership capabilities to train and support laboratory technicians.
Physical and Environmental Requirements
The physical demands of this position require the ability to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. The role may involve exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous materials, necessitating adherence to safety protocols.
