  • Supervise and manage the kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and high morale.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Participate in meetings to discuss operational improvements and team performance.
  • Work closely with management to ensure that food presentation and specifications align with company standards.
  • Implement cost control measures and suggest improvements for efficiency in kitchen operations.
  • Manage staff schedules to optimize productivity and efficiency.
  • Uphold grooming and uniform standards in the kitchen.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and high performance.
  • Assist with inventory management, including receiving and requisitioning supplies.
  • Participate in mandatory safety drills and emergency preparedness training.
  • Ensure that all culinary staff adhere to cleaning and maintenance protocols.
  • Conduct regular inspections of kitchen equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  • Train and mentor kitchen personnel to uphold culinary standards.
  • Engage in culinary activities to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Minimize food waste and optimize the use of ingredients.

Qualifications

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in culinary arts preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of three years in a full-service culinary environment, with experience in staff supervision and training.

Skills:

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.

Other Requirements:

Must be at least 21 years of age and able to pass required drug and alcohol tests.
