Telephone Triage Nursing Specialist

Community Healthcare Network is seeking a skilled Telephone Triage Nurse to join our team. This role requires strong clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Salary & BenefitsThe estimated salary for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality telephone advice, education, and triage services to patients, utilizing assessment skills and approved protocols.
- Coordinate with healthcare teams to facilitate the highest quality of health services for patients.
- Follow up on patient medical care, emergency room follow-ups, and correspondence.
- Confer with physicians/providers when prescribed medical regimens need interpretation and/or clarification.
- Provide health counseling to patients and implement plans of care as appropriate.
- Document calls in the electronic medical record (EMR) in a timely and accurate manner.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A current New York State license as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- A current CPR certificate or plan to attend a CPR training course within six months of employment.
- Three years of clinical experience, preferably in an acute care setting, delivering Emergency Care, Pediatric Care, OB-GYN Care, and/or Telephone Triage.
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
