Job Overview

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality telephone advice, education, and triage services to patients, utilizing assessment skills and approved protocols.
  • Coordinate with healthcare teams to facilitate the highest quality of health services for patients.
  • Follow up on patient medical care, emergency room follow-ups, and correspondence.
  • Confer with physicians/providers when prescribed medical regimens need interpretation and/or clarification.
  • Provide health counseling to patients and implement plans of care as appropriate.
  • Document calls in the electronic medical record (EMR) in a timely and accurate manner.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current New York State license as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • A current CPR certificate or plan to attend a CPR training course within six months of employment.
  • Three years of clinical experience, preferably in an acute care setting, delivering Emergency Care, Pediatric Care, OB-GYN Care, and/or Telephone Triage.
  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
