About the Role

Our client, a reputable family office, is seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Financial Controller to join their accounting and finance team. As a standalone Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the general oversight of the accounting procedures of the entity and will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Implement and maintain internal control procedures as needed to ensure the accuracy of financial reporting.
  • Oversee and manage the month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Oversee general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and tax compliance.
  • Provide assistance with budgeting and forecasting as needed, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Support internal and external audit processes, ensuring seamless coordination and communication.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in accounting or a related field, with a strong background in financial management.
  • CPA license is a plus, but not required.
  • Prior experience working in a family office or investment setting is a plus.
  • Strong reconciliation experience, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with strong organizational skills and attention to deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound financial decisions.
