Role Summary

CONES Solutions is seeking a dedicated and skilled Service Equipment Specialist to join our expanding team. This role is pivotal to our operations, as our technicians are the backbone of our service delivery. You will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing commercial food service equipment, conducting preventative maintenance inspections, and addressing urgent service requests for a variety of equipment, including coolers, freezers, ovens, fryers, steamers, warmers, and dishwashing machines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver outstanding customer service while troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing commercial cooking, beverage, and refrigeration systems.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with clients, suppliers, and manufacturers to foster positive experiences and drive growth.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and training to enhance your skills.
  • Participate in after-hours and weekend on-call rotations as required.
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand existing client accounts.
  • Process payments for services rendered on-site for cash-on-delivery customers.
  • Order necessary parts and complete all required documentation.
  • Maintain and manage the service vehicle.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Expectations
  • Must hold and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and schematics.
  • Complete industry-specific training (CFESA) and manufacturer certifications within designated timeframes.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to climb ladders and perform physical tasks such as kneeling, crouching, and twisting.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, gauges, meters, and other equipment to execute service tasks.
  • Commitment to punctuality, organization, and hard work.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends when necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work in varying environments, including extreme temperatures and inclement weather.
  • Proficiency with technology, including smartphones, tablets, and office software.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical certification, associate degree in skilled trades, or relevant work experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.
Preferred Attributes
  • Prior experience as a field technician in the commercial cooking and beverage equipment sector.
  • CFESA certification is a plus.
  • Current Iowa Mechanical License is advantageous.
  • Universal EPA Certificate is preferred.
