Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiologist to join our team at the Sacramento VA Medical Center. As a Cardiologist, you will provide independent care delivery and specialty consultation for chronic and acute medical needs to our Veteran population.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including history and physicals, medication management, evaluation of diagnostic tests, and treatment planning.
  • Perform minor procedures, such as Transesophageal Echocardiogram and Elective Cardioversion, as approved by credentialing and privileging.
  • Remain proficient in providing inpatient/urgent/emergent consultative recommendations.
  • Triage incoming Cardiology service consults based on appropriateness, acuity/priority, and service capabilities.
  • Report/document results of ECGs, Echos, Holters, and Stress Tests in a timely manner per protocol.
Requirements
  • Board Certified in Internal or Family Medicine.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology.
