The Department of Veteran Affairs is committed to delivering comprehensive healthcare services to Veterans across the nation. We are seeking a Diagnostic Radiologist with specialized training in Nuclear Medicine to enhance our medical team at the Sacramento VA Medical Center. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in both Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine, allocating equal time to both specialties. Key responsibilities will include conducting and interpreting diagnostic imaging across all modalities relevant to both fields.

  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, with occasional on-call duties (approximately one week every 6-7 weeks) from a remote location.
  • Recruitment Incentive: Eligible for sign-on bonus.
  • Relocation Assistance: Not available.
  • Education Debt Reduction Program: Position qualifies for student loan repayment assistance.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a Permanent Resident Alien.
  • Must hold a current, unrestricted medical license in any state.
  • Must be board eligible or certified in both Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine.
  • Must provide proof of vaccination for seasonal influenza and COVID-19 as mandated for all healthcare personnel by the Department of Veteran Affairs.

Preferred Qualifications: Board Certification in both Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine is highly desirable.
