Position Title: Diagnostic Radiologist with Fellowship in Nuclear Medicine

Organization: Department of Veteran Affairs

The Department of Veteran Affairs is dedicated to providing comprehensive health care services to Veterans across the nation. We are seeking a qualified Diagnostic Radiologist with specialized fellowship training in Nuclear Medicine to enhance our medical team at the Sacramento VA Medical Center. The successful candidate will be proficient in both Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine, allocating equal time to both disciplines. Key responsibilities will encompass conducting and interpreting diagnostic imaging across all modalities in both specialties.

  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, with occasional on-call duties (approximately one week every 6-7 weeks) from a remote location.
  • Recruitment Incentive: Sign-on bonus available.
  • Relocation Assistance: Not provided.
  • Education Debt Reduction Program: Eligible for student loan repayment.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Must be a US citizen or Permanent Resident Alien.
  • Possess a current, unrestricted medical license in any state.
  • Board eligible or certified in both Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine.
  • Must provide proof of vaccination for seasonal influenza and COVID-19 as mandated for all Health Care Personnel by the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Preferred Qualifications: Board Certification in both Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine is highly desirable.
