Position Summary:

The role of the Field Application Engineer is pivotal in collaborating with Business Groups, Partners, and Customers to facilitate successful sales conversions. This includes engaging in presales activities, where the engineer assists in defining product specifications and tailored solutions to meet customer requirements, thereby expediting the sales process. Additionally, the engineer is responsible for developing training materials for technical field training and supporting the sales team with hands-on training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit strong communication and organizational abilities.
  • Assess customer needs through effective questioning and advocate suitable solutions.
  • Collaborate with customers and internal teams to ensure all deliverables are achieved.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key OEM/ODM clients to engage them early in the design process.

· Maintain a comprehensive understanding of technical knowledge by working closely with the sales team, engineers, and product managers to gather accurate information regarding application usage, system operations, and product management.

· Coordinate with headquarters and manufacturing facilities in Asia to monitor project progress.

· Conduct necessary tests and installation procedures, preparing detailed schedules based on project specifications, researching market trends in field applications, and analyzing emerging trends to recommend new engineering products.

· Identify potential risks and escalate issues to relevant stakeholders.

· Demonstrate adaptability and a willingness to learn the company's culture and processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering is mandatory; a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a Field Applications Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or a similar role within the IT sector.
  • Proficiency in Power Electronics is essential.

Preferred Skills:

  • Self-motivated and results-driven.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% with overnight stays.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and effective presentation capabilities.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin is advantageous.

Salary is commensurate with experience, ranging from $110,000 to $150,000, with comprehensive benefits available from day one.
