Position Title: Senior Power Design Engineer

Role Overview:

In this role, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Conducting electrical design for power systems tailored for large facilities and data centers.
  • Exhibiting a strong work ethic alongside high standards of personal and professional integrity.
  • Collaborating with suppliers to address product design and cost considerations.
  • Effectively communicating technical knowledge in a clear and concise manner.
  • Contributing positively within a team-oriented environment.
  • Providing technical support and guidance to fellow team members.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving challenges associated with electrical engineering projects.
  • Ensuring adherence to all relevant codes and regulations.
  • Developing necessary engineering documentation.

Educational Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) is required, with advanced degrees (MS or Ph.D.) being advantageous.

Experience Requirements:

Preferred candidates will possess:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in developing electrical products for mission-critical environments.
  • A solid understanding of AC and DC power distribution circuits, including low voltage three-phase AC circuits.
  • Extensive knowledge of large-scale standby and emergency power systems, such as UPS, PDU, generators, and STS systems.
  • Familiarity with power systems engineering, system control, and metering, along with simulation and CAD tools.
  • A firm grasp of mechanical equipment and system design principles.
  • Demonstrated expertise in various engineering concepts, particularly electrical design engineering principles.
  • A strong understanding of building ground architecture and grounding techniques.
  • Good knowledge of relevant standards, including Telcordia, UL, National Electric Code, IEEE, and NEBS.
  • Experience with Protective Device Coordination studies and Arc Flash studies is preferred.

Technical and Professional Skills:

Ideal candidates will have:

  • In-depth knowledge of engineering and technology applications, including principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment relevant to design and production.
  • A Professional Engineering License and familiarity with building codes is a plus.
