Position Summary

  1. Hourly, Non-Exempt, Non-Commissioned, and Non-Supervisory role.
  2. Mainly responsible for the efficient delivery of food to guests, ensuring timely service and presentation.
  3. Reports directly to the Assistant Food & Beverage Managers.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Prepare and organize the service station with necessary garnishes and mise en place.
  2. Guarantee that all dishes leaving the kitchen meet our high standards of quality.
  3. Ensure that hot dishes remain hot and cold dishes stay cold, with appropriate garnishing.
  4. Follow the directives of the food expeditor regarding delivery priorities.
  5. Verify that all food items are accounted for before serving.
  6. Seek assistance when necessary to ensure synchronized food delivery.
  7. Maintain an organized system for food order tickets to prevent misplacement.
  8. Keep the kitchen work area clean and orderly.
  9. Serve food to tables using appropriate methods for both indoor and outdoor dining.
  10. Be aware of food destinations and avoid unnecessary discussions at the table.
  11. Understand menu items thoroughly to explain dishes and their components to guests when needed.
  12. After serving, inquire if guests require anything further and communicate their requests promptly.
  13. Carry extra utensils and napkins to address any immediate needs.
  14. Coordinate with servers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of courses.
  15. Assist servers as required.
  16. Complete all side tasks at the beginning and end of shifts, restocking items as directed.
  17. Be available to assist in various capacities to ensure smooth operations as directed by management.
  18. Adhere to the standards of guest service established by Carillon.
  19. Direct guest concerns or complaints to a supervisor following the resolution policy.
  20. Report any safety hazards or unsafe practices to management immediately.
  21. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

  1. At least six months of experience in a non-fast food service environment is preferred.
  2. Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English is required.
  3. Being bilingual (English/Spanish) is an advantage.
  4. Must be oriented towards guest service, dependable, and able to work well with diverse individuals.
  5. Exhibit pride in maintaining high standards of food service.
  6. Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of people.
  7. Quick learner, able to follow instructions and work under pressure.
  8. Capable of lifting up to 40 lbs and performing repetitive movements.
  9. Familiarity with operating essential kitchen equipment is necessary.
