Beach Server/Runner Job Description

We are seeking a friendly and experienced Beach Server/Runner to join our team at Double Tree by Hilton Ocean Point Resort, a Colwen Hotels property. As a Beach Server/Runner, you will be the face of our restaurant, providing exceptional service to our guests and ensuring a memorable experience for them.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guest Service: Acknowledge and welcome each guest with a smile, eye contact, and a friendly greeting, using their name whenever possible.
  • Order Taking and Delivery: Take orders from guests and deliver to the appropriate person to execute.
  • Menu Knowledge: Maintain knowledge of all menu items and composition, and answer questions regarding the menu.
  • Food and Beverage Delivery: Deliver food, beverages, condiments, and other requested items to guests.
  • Food Quality and Presentation: Ensure that food is prepared correctly and to the guests' satisfaction, and return incorrect or improperly cooked items to the kitchen.
  • Table Maintenance: Collect plates and clear tables as guests finish their meal.
  • Compliance and Cleanliness: Adhere to all applicable Colwen and brand standards for food and beverage service, and maintain cleanliness in designated areas.
Requirements:
  • Interpersonal and Customer Service Skills: Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to solve problems.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to operate a point-of-sale system.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Ability to work with a team and maintain open communication.
  • Personal Qualities: Ability to maintain personal hygiene and a positive attitude.
