Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and physically fit individual to join our team as a Garbage Collector. As a key member of our Central Services crew, you will be responsible for collecting and disposing of waste in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and dispose of waste in a safe and efficient manner
  • Operate heavy equipment, such as garbage trucks, in a safe and responsible manner
  • Work in all types of weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and precipitation
  • Perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and carrying heavy objects
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess or have the ability to obtain an Illinois Class B CDL license with airbrake endorsement
  • Ability to lift, bend, and carry heavy objects up to 70 pounds on a routine basis
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
