We are seeking exceptional Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) and Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our team at Highland Park Rehabilitation & Nursing Center. As a Charge Nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality care for our residents.

Job Summary

As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for leading a team of Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and providing direct care to our residents. Your duties will include:

  • Reviewing 24-hour reports with the previous shift's charge nurse
  • Conducting narcotic counts and verifying all narcotic count sheets
  • Performing room rounds with the off-going nurse and ensuring CNA documentation is complete
  • Reviewing 24-hour reports for lab follow-ups, diagnostic follow-ups, and pending orders
  • Administering medications, including PPIs, Coumadin, and PRN medications
  • Completing monthly summaries and skin assessments
  • Ensuring CNA documentation on ADLs and meal intake is complete before the end of the shift
  • Completing incident reports if any occur during the shift
  • Completing lab inquiries and noting new orders or labs received

We offer competitive pay rates, with LVNs earning $28-$32 per hour based on experience and RNs earning $34-$40 per hour, with a $40 per hour rate for BSN holders. Weekend and night positions are available at premium rates.
