Job Summary:

The Licensed Vocational Nurse will be responsible for providing focused care to assigned patients with predictable healthcare needs. This includes collecting data, performing patient assessments, and implementing appropriate aspects of care within the scope of practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct basic care to assigned patients, including medication administration and clinical procedures.
  • Collect data and perform focused patient assessments to inform care decisions.
  • Implement teaching plans for patients with well-defined health problems and learning needs.
  • Participate in the plan of care and work collaboratively with the healthcare team to achieve patient goals.
  • Perform telephone messaging and in-person screening with appropriate follow-up.
Requirements:
  • Current Texas licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Minimum education: LVN license issued by the Texas Board of Nursing.
  • Minimum experience: None.
