About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Developmental Specialist to join our Early Intervention team at Behavioral Health Network. As a Developmental Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting the growth and development of infants and toddlers with developmental delays or disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to support the developmental needs of infants and toddlers.
  • Collaborate with families to identify their priorities and values, and create treatment plans that align with their goals.
  • Provide training and support to families on strategies to promote their child's development.
  • Assist families in accessing community resources and advocating for their child's needs.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in early childhood development.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, or Special Education.
  • Experience working with infants, toddlers, and their families.
  • Knowledge of infant, toddler, and child development.
  • Broad knowledge of mental illness and/or intellectual disabilities, physical disabilities, medical conditions, and/or treatment techniques.
  • Familiarity with and provides services within parameters of DPH regulations.
  • Ability to adapt to a variety of settings and provide activities to the individual accordingly.
  • Strong writing and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with internet, word processing, and email systems.
  • Have access to a car to use for work, valid driver's license, and safe driving record.
  • Bilingual (preferred).
