Job Title: Developmental Specialist

Thom Child and Family Services is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Developmental Specialist to join their team. As a Developmental Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing early intervention services to infants and toddlers with developmental delays and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct multidisciplinary team assessments to identify developmental needs and create individualized plans for each child.
  • Provide direct child development services, including play-based interventions and activities tailored to each child's unique needs.
  • Collaborate with families to develop and implement Individual Family Service Plans (IFSPs) that address their child's developmental goals.
  • Document progress, complete assessments, and maintain accurate records of services provided.
  • Act as a service coordinator, scheduling and coordinating services, and ensuring timely and effective delivery of interventions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or Special Education.
  • At least 300 hours of practicum or work experience with young children.
  • Knowledge of family systems, early childhood development, and evidence-based practices.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with families, community partners, and multidisciplinary teams.
