Thom Child and Family Services is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Developmental Specialist to join their team. As a Developmental Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing early intervention services to infants and toddlers with developmental delays and their families.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct multidisciplinary team assessments to identify developmental needs and create individualized plans for each child.
- Provide direct child development services, including play-based interventions and activities tailored to each child's unique needs.
- Collaborate with families to develop and implement Individual Family Service Plans (IFSPs) that address their child's developmental goals.
- Document progress, complete assessments, and maintain accurate records of services provided.
- Act as a service coordinator, scheduling and coordinating services, and ensuring timely and effective delivery of interventions.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or Special Education.
- At least 300 hours of practicum or work experience with young children.
- Knowledge of family systems, early childhood development, and evidence-based practices.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with families, community partners, and multidisciplinary teams.
