Job Overview

The Reimbursement Field Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the Kerecis sales team, clients, and the internal Benefits Investigation (BI) team regarding all reimbursement-related inquiries and challenges. This position is responsible for delivering on-site customer assistance and education across various healthcare settings, including private practices, hospitals, and wound care facilities. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of the skin substitute industry, experience in client-focused environments, and the capability to instruct and guide others on reimbursement processes. We are looking for an individual who is flexible, resilient, and motivated to elevate Kerecis' reimbursement efforts.

The Reimbursement Field Manager is an integral member of the Customer Transformation team and reports directly to the EVP of Customer Transformation. Candidates should have the ability to travel nationwide to meet customer needs based on their respective time zones.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary contact for the field sales team, clients, and the internal BI team regarding all reimbursement inquiries and issues.
  • Facilitate reimbursement training sessions with billing managers in private practices and wound care centers to ensure their success.
  • Assist clients with inquiries related to billing, claim denials, and appeals processes.
  • Establish and nurture customer relationships as a non-sales reimbursement liaison.
  • Provide the field sales team with updates on current BIs, strategies for overturning non-covered BIs, and identify opportunities within regional payer markets.
  • Support the internal BI team by reviewing BIs and coverage with clients and the field sales team.

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to deliver field-based customer support and education concerning payer coverage and payment methodologies.
  • Strong customer-focused selling skills.
  • Effective presentation abilities.
  • Exceptional capacity to educate and train both clients and colleagues.
  • Thorough understanding of HIPAA regulations pertaining to patient confidentiality.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • In-depth expertise in the skin substitute sector is essential.
  • AAPC billing and coding certifications are preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in reimbursement is preferred.

Travel Requirements: 30% - 50%
