Job Overview

The Reimbursement Field Operations Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the Kerecis sales force, clientele, and the internal Benefits Investigation (BI) team by addressing all reimbursement-related queries and challenges. This position involves delivering on-site customer assistance and education across various healthcare settings, including private practices, hospitals, and specialized wound care facilities. The Manager will serve as the primary liaison for the sales team and must be willing to travel extensively to accommodate clients across different time zones.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of the skin substitute industry, experience in customer-oriented environments, and the capability to instruct and mentor others on reimbursement processes. We are looking for an individual who is flexible, resilient, and motivated to elevate Kerecis' reimbursement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the main point of contact for the sales team, customers, and the internal BI team regarding all reimbursement matters.
  • Facilitate reimbursement training sessions with billing managers in private practices and wound care facilities to ensure their success.
  • Assist clients with inquiries related to billing, claim denials, and appeals processes.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with customers as a reimbursement-focused contact, distinct from sales.
  • Educate the sales team on the current status of BIs, strategies for overturning non-covered BIs, and identifying potential opportunities within regional payer markets.
  • Support the internal BI team by reviewing BIs and coverage details with both customers and the sales team.

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to provide field-based customer support and education regarding payer coverage and payment methodologies.
  • Strong customer-focused selling skills.
  • Excellent presentation capabilities.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in educating and training both customers and team members.
  • Comprehensive understanding of HIPAA regulations concerning patient confidentiality.
  • Advanced computer skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • In-depth expertise in the skin substitute market is essential.
  • AAPC billing and coding certifications are preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in reimbursement is preferred.

Travel Requirements: 30% - 50%
