Automotive Service Consultant

At Open Road, every service expert in our retail centers is expected to excel in listening, communicating, and performing tasks efficiently to meet our high standards.

As a pivotal connection for our clients, Automotive Service Consultants assist vehicle owners in understanding the importance of maintaining their automobiles according to manufacturer specifications. This role is essential in fostering a lasting relationship with our clientele.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess vehicles and utilize appropriate resources to accurately identify and document clients' service requirements. Log these details along with relevant vehicle and customer information on the service order.
  • Engage with customers to ascertain immediate service needs.
  • Act as a bridge between technicians and clients.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service experiences.
  • Employ a consultative approach to inform customers about services and products.
  • Contribute to center objectives by driving:
    • High sales of services, parts, and accessories.
    • Repeat sales of new vehicles by ensuring a premium aftersales experience for each customer.
  • Review service history, inspect vehicles, and recommend appropriate services to clients. Promote the sale of relevant services, parts, and accessories by thoroughly understanding the products and their service requirements.
  • Prepare and verify accurate service orders, including necessary documentation.
  • Manage warranty repairs for new and used vehicles in line with warranty guidelines.
  • Ensure that requested vehicle services are executed correctly by inspecting the vehicle prior to service delivery.
  • Conduct a comprehensive vehicle delivery with the client upon completion of work.
  • Oversee the cleaning and preparation of both new and used vehicles.
  • Continuously build and maintain knowledge of products and services through on-the-job training and participation in educational programs.
  • Adhere to state and federal regulations regarding automobile repair and consumer protection.

  • Proven success in previous roles.
  • Capability to provide Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) Reports and Productivity Reports.
