Product Engineering Leadership Role

Renesas Electronics Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Engineering leader to join our team. As a Principal Product Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the development of high-quality products that meet the stringent requirements of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and mentor a team of product engineers to ensure the delivery of high-quality products
  • Define and implement ATE test, qualification, and manufacturing plans
  • Own product release into manufacturing, ensuring adherence to tier 1-customer requirements
  • Develop and maintain product BOMs and ensure compliance with automotive standards
  • Manage excursions with suppliers and customers, and implement yield improvement initiatives
  • Develop and track KPIs related to product development, including NPI execution, product cost, and quality performance
  • Collaborate with business unit leaders and upper management to drive strategies for developing future products
  • Mentor junior engineers to upgrade the knowledge level of the team

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of experience in product engineering, with a strong familiarity with power management products
  • Familiarity with ATE tester platforms, digital and analog circuitry, and common building blocks
  • Knowledge of JEDEC/AEC qualification standards and stress test conditions
  • Experience with yield management tools, such as PDF Exensio and JMP
  • Ability to manage supplier excursions and customer escalations through problem-solving
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • BS in Electrical Engineering, with an MS/PhD preferred
