Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Factory Quality Engineer to join our team at RTX. This role will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our manufacturing processes and products.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance and a proven track record of identifying and mitigating risks in complex manufacturing environments.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying and managing risk in the manufacturing process
  • Supporting production, first article inspections, creating/maintaining work/inspection instructions, and preparation for audits
  • Verifying product and process compliance with respect to contractual, technical, industry, AS9100 Quality Management System (QMS) requirements and internal policies
  • Regular interface with DCMA (Product Sales, process audits, Product Configuration audits)
  • Daily status meetings with the factory support, factory management, hourly employees, and internal stakeholders to manage issue, and weekly meetings to help reduce cost of poor quality

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 8 years of experience in quality assurance, with a strong understanding of AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality management systems.

Additionally, the candidate should have experience with APQP methods, including PFMEA, Control Plan, FAI, SPC, and RCCA and Continuous Improvement methods.
