Job Summary

RTX is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Manager/Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Land and Air Defense Systems team, you will be responsible for promoting and executing quality practices, knowledge sharing, and collaboration to drive strategic quality improvements across contracts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement Mission Area strategic quality improvements across contracts
  • Ensure effective implementation of Quality and Mission Assurance requirements of the programs
  • Interface with Government Customers, Foreign Customers, Suppliers, and internal Raytheon Quality team
  • Become the Quality POC for the Maneuver Systems Integrated Product Team (IPT)
  • Manage and impact across multiple levels of stakeholders
  • Responsible for quality of delivered products and services to our customers
  • Develop and implement strategic and tactical Mission Assurance plans
  • Assure inclusion of quality requirements, planning, and consistency for program proposals
  • Lead and perform root cause analysis, facilitate corrective actions, and implement closed loop process controls
  • Generation of new Cost of Quality (CoQ), CORE (Customer Oriented Result and Excellence), CoPQ (Cost of Poor Quality) projects
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Minimum of ten (10) years engineering experience
  • Working experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management Systems
  • Working experience with performance to cost, schedule, and technical performance including Cost Accounting Methodologies (Earned Value)
  • Working experience in providing technical program support for manufacturing and/or design processes
  • S. government issued security clearance
  • Six Sigma, Lean, CORE, or American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification
  • Earned Value Management System (EVMS) certification
  • Experience with Integrated Product Development System (IPDS) or similar gate management process
  • Experience in other functional area such as engineering, supplier engineering, or operations
