About the Role

As a Tech Lead at Nirvana Insurance, you will lead and innovate pivotal product areas and guide them from concept to completion with a customer-driven focus. You'll work on transformative products like our fleet safety AI coach, which uses AI and IoT data to enhance road safety and cut costs for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of multiple consumer-facing products, including IoT enabled claims processing, fleet safety software, payments, and policy management
  • Provide technical direction and mentorship to a team of engineers, ensuring high-quality code and scalable, maintainable solutions
  • Drive the architectural design and technical strategy for key projects
  • Define project scope, timelines, and deliverables in collaboration with product managers and other stakeholders
  • Align technical strategies with the overall business vision and goals

About You

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on consumer-facing products
  • Proven experience leading and mentoring engineering teams
  • Has been leading complex projects with 2-5 people for at least 1 year
  • Has worked with product managers on planning and roadmap development
  • Has proven experience leading a major product area
  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture and real-time data processing
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
