Mammography Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Mammography Imaging Specialist to join our team at Wooster Community Hospital. As a Diagnostic Imaging Professional, you will play a critical role in assisting Radiologists/Physicians with imaging and diagnosing illnesses.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist Radiologists/Physicians with imaging and diagnosing illnesses
- Capture high-quality images for thorough examination by physicians
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures
- Communicate effectively with patients and explain procedures clearly
- Position patients correctly to obtain quality images
Requirements:
- Excellent intrapersonal skills
- BLS certification
- Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- ODH License
- Proven clinical and didactic capabilities
- Maintain required Continuing Education credits
Preferred Attributes:
- Basic computer skills with ability to navigate PACS/RIS
- 3 years previous experience in Medical Imaging
Working Conditions:
- Exposed to blood, body fluids, and/or airborne pathogens
- May be required to work weekends, holidays, or take call
- Subject to STHR (Short Term Hours Reduction) according to policy
Duties:
- Patient communication and preparation
- Positioning patients correctly
- Setting equipment for optimal image quality
- Taking preventative steps to avoid unnecessary radiation exposure
