Medical Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Medical Imaging Specialist to join our team at Wooster Community Hospital. As a Mammography Tech, you will play a vital role in assisting Radiologists/Physicians with imaging and diagnosing illness. This is a PRN position with varying hours and shifts.
Key Responsibilities- Communicate effectively with patients, explaining the procedure and ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Position patients properly to obtain high-quality images, utilizing your knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
- Set equipment settings to achieve optimal image density, detail, and contrast.
- Take preventative steps to minimize radiation exposure.
- BLS certification (maintained while in position).
- Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) for modalities including Radiography, CT, MRI, Cardiac Cath Lab, Bone Density, Mammography, and Special Procedures Lab.
- ODH License for all modalities except Ultrasound.
- Proven clinical and didactic capabilities.
- Maintain required Continuing Education credits to hold current registration organization membership.
- No written disciplinary action within the last 12 months.
- Basic computer skills with ability to navigate PACS/RIS.
- 3 years of previous experience in Medical Imaging.
