Cyber Security Business Operations Leader


We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the financial, administrative, and operational affairs of our Cyber Operations & Analysis Technology Group.


The ideal candidate will bring a strategic perspective to managing the group's financial, administrative, and operational affairs, ensuring alignment with the group's research goals and MIT Lincoln Laboratory's mission.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic business plans and budgets in collaboration with group leadership to support research initiatives and project goals.
  • Manage financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, ensuring optimal allocation of resources.
  • Develop dashboards and tools that enable effective program-level awareness, forecasting, and decision making.
  • Oversee contract management processes, ensuring compliance with government, sponsor, and MIT policies and regulations.
  • Lead procurement functions and support the group's operational efficiency.
  • Review and edit statements of work and associated program documentation for clarity of purpose.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination between the group and internal/external stakeholders.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business management or administration, preferably in a research or technical environment.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, with experience in budgeting, financial planning, and contract management.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and projects.
  • Knowledge of government contracting and compliance requirements is highly desirable.
