Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Director of Business Development for Sales Operations to join our team at Quest Diagnostics. This is a senior leadership role that will be responsible for managing the commercial operations team supporting a national business-to-business sales organization.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the Team

    The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of experience in people leadership, contract management, and operations, with a proven track record of success in managing cross-functional teams.

  • Design and Implement Sales Operations Processes

    The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing sales operations processes, including contracting, proposals, reporting, and customer success initiatives.

  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams

    This role will work closely with sales, finance, and legal teams to finalize contracts, win new business, and support existing customers to drive business growth.

  • Ensure Compliance and Adherence

    The Director of Business Development for Sales Operations will be responsible for ensuring contract and RFP tasks and due dates are met by key stakeholders, and for drafting, maintaining, and ensuring adherence to Standard Operating Procedures for contracting and RFPs.

  • Facilitate Change Management

    This role will facilitate change management by communicating, training, and supporting all sales operations processes, and for identifying KPIs and metrics with associated reporting to ensure transparency and productivity.

  • Manage Audits and Compliance

    The successful candidate will be responsible for managing audits to ensure business compliance with policies and procedures, and for drafting and negotiating strategic customer agreements.

  • Manage Technical Systems

    This role will manage technical systems, including proposal software, signature software, and contract repository, and for overseeing all proposal drafts and submissions to ensure strategic vision of the company and growth objectives.


Requirements
  • 7+ Years of Experience

    The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of experience in people leadership, contract management, and operations, with a proven track record of success in managing cross-functional teams.

  • Demonstrated Ability to Work Cross-Functionally

    This role requires the ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with management and executive teams to drive business growth.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Legal Operations Experience

    Experience in legal operations would be an asset, as would experience in client management.


Salary

The estimated annual salary for this role is $115,000 - $140,000, depending on experience.


Location

This role is based in Lenexa, KS.
