Work Schedule: This position requires flexibility with various 12-hour shifts, ensuring coverage for both day and night operations, not exceeding 80 hours bi-weekly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and achieve optimal health outcomes.
- Adhere to established standards of care and clinical practices within the medical treatment facility.
- Conduct comprehensive physical assessments and document health histories.
- Provide patient education, counseling, and health promotion initiatives.
- Administer medications and perform wound care as needed.
- Facilitate patient referrals and coordinate specialty care.
- Engage in performance improvement activities and peer reviews to enhance care quality.
- Maintain compliance with safety and infection control protocols.
- Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- Education: Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN).
- Experience: At least one year of experience in hematology/oncology nursing within the last two years.
- Licensure: Must possess a valid and unrestricted nursing license in the United States.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider Card are required.
- Security Clearance: Ability to pass a government background check.
