Job Overview - Facilities Operations Manager

Position Summary

PruittHealth is committed to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all its residents and staff. As a Facilities Operations Manager, you will hold the essential responsibility for overseeing the physical infrastructure and critical mechanical, electrical, and patient care equipment within the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Review and prioritize maintenance requests from various departments.
  2. Assign tasks to staff or directly address issues through inspection, repair, or replacement.
  3. Implement a routine maintenance schedule for the facility and all equipment.
  4. Ensure the emergency power system is operational, providing power to essential services during outages.
  5. Perform daily maintenance duties and ensure all critical equipment is functioning safely.
  6. Establish protocols for maintaining access to potable water in emergencies.
  7. Monitor temperature ranges and initiate repairs to prevent hazards.
  8. Engage with residents and families to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions.
  9. Evaluate maintenance staff performance through regular observation and feedback.
  10. Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with relevant laws and facility policies.
  11. Develop and revise maintenance policies in alignment with regulatory standards.
  12. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and staff performance.
  13. Collaborate with external consultants to enhance maintenance service quality.
  14. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and provide immediate assistance in case of workplace incidents.
  15. Contribute to the departmental budget and communicate financial needs to management.
  16. Recruit and retain skilled maintenance personnel to ensure a safe and comfortable environment.
  17. Participate actively in regulatory surveys, guiding staff on compliance and documentation.

Qualifications:

Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum Experience: At least one year of experience in facility operations and equipment maintenance.

Preferred Qualifications: Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
