About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Ground Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Delta Air Lines, Inc. as a Stationary Equipment Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our stationary equipment, including machinery and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on stationary equipment, including inspections, troubleshooting, and component replacement.
  • Ensure all equipment is in good working condition and meets safety standards.
  • Collaborate with other teams to resolve equipment issues and ensure minimal downtime.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to prevent equipment failures.
  • Conduct training and coaching for junior technicians to ensure knowledge transfer and skill development.
Requirements
  • Minimum 6 months of experience in an industrial powered mechanical environment.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic disciplines as they apply to industrial powered systems.
  • Ability to lift items weighing between 50 and 70 pounds.
  • Valid driver's license and authorization to work in the United States.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; two-year degree in a related field preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical documents, manuals, and schematics.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate repairs with other teams and vendors.
  • Ability to respond to customer needs with minimal direction and perform repairs in time-sensitive situations.
