Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Bank Teller to join our team at Trustco Bank in Florida. As a Bank Teller, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, handling cash transactions, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients, responding to their inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Process cash transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and transfers, while maintaining accurate records and adhering to bank policies and procedures.
  • Cross-sell bank products and services to clients, identifying opportunities to increase sales and revenue.
  • Process loan payments, issue money orders and bank checks, and perform other related tasks as needed.
  • Balance transactions at the end of the day, verifying cash totals and ensuring accuracy.
  • Maintain reports and logs for record retention, adhering to bank policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent education or experience.
  • Customer service experience, preferably in a banking or financial services environment.
  • Cash handling experience, with the ability to accurately count and manage cash.
  • Effective verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with clients and colleagues in a professional manner.
  • Well-organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous banking experience, with a strong understanding of banking principles and practices.
Work Environment

The work environment is typical of a retail banking setting, with ambient room temperatures, lighting, and traditional equipment. The position requires the ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 20 pounds, and use hands to operate office machines.
