Private Equity Fund Administration Manager

The role of PE NAV is central to the provision of administrative services, requiring daily collaboration with various functional teams, including trade operations, investor services, custody, tax, and financial reporting across multiple global locations.
Importance of the Role
The team you will be part of is integral to CFA Institute's Global Services. We equip asset owners and managers with essential financial tools to deliver effective investment solutions. Our offerings range from core custody, accounting, fund administration, and shareholder recordkeeping to comprehensive operational solutions for alternative assets, including OTC derivatives, private equity, and real estate. This role is pivotal for those looking to make a significant impact in the financial services industry from the outset.
Key Responsibilities
As the AVP of Fund Accounting & Administration, your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing a dynamic team of financial services professionals in the delivery of accounting and administrative services for one or more alternative investment client relationships.
- Managing the allocation of income to investors, determining management and incentive fees according to waterfall provisions, and processing capital events such as capital calls and distributions.
- Handling portfolio and fund-level accounting for multiple funds, including the review and approval of monthly or quarterly net asset value reporting.
- Leading the onboarding of existing client funds and the initiation of new funds.
- Demonstrating a strong commitment to client satisfaction.
- Ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
- Designing and advocating for technology solutions to meet complex reporting and data needs of clients.
- Identifying and engaging in cross-sell opportunities.
- Participating in strategic initiatives within the organization to enhance processes and operational models.
- Recruiting, training, and developing staff to achieve their full potential.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- A minimum of 5 to 6 years of experience in Private Equity.
- Familiarity with alternative investment asset classes, complex fund structures, and fee calculations is preferred.
- Strong communication and management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, deadline-oriented environment.
- CPA qualification is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Experience with Investran or Geneva is beneficial but not required.
