Senior Hedge Fund Administration Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Associate for Hedge Fund Administration who will engage with professionals at all levels, both within our organization and externally. This role demands outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities, as well as the capacity to take initiative and manage multiple tasks effectively under pressure.
As a Senior Associate in Fund Administration, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily accounting and administration of various client-sponsored investment funds.
Key Responsibilities- Review and validate all daily transactions while ensuring compliance with necessary controls.
- Calculate and process fund activities, including the production of NAV, SEC yields, distributions, and corporate actions, along with preparing necessary proofs.
- Assist in the validation and review of data, such as fund NAV, and communicate relevant information to Shared Services and Client Operations teams.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies and issues promptly.
- Address inquiries accurately and in a timely manner, maintaining effective communication with clients as needed.
- Define and complete ad-hoc requests successfully.
- Escalate unresolved matters to management as necessary.
- Reconcile discrepancies with other teams as required.
- Maintain comprehensive records of daily and monthly activities.
- Conduct reporting functions for the team's operations on a daily or weekly basis.
- Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures.
- Stay informed on broader business issues and apply knowledge across the team.
- Support management in implementing new policies and procedures and participate in relevant projects.
- Assist in workflow management and technology improvements, offering suggestions to enhance operations.
- Maintain awareness of current alternative procedures and processes.
- Facilitate training for new team members as necessary.
- Identify and report any unusual or potentially suspicious transaction activities in accordance with corporate policies.
- Perform duties of Associates and provide backup management support when required.
- Execute other assigned tasks as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in the financial services sector, specifically in hedge fund accounting.
- Proficient understanding of fund-level profit and loss characteristics and their implications on investor allocations across various complex fund structures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel is essential.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment.
- Capability to understand and troubleshoot complex fund accounting issues, employing analytical skills to resolve them promptly.
