Our Private Equity team specializes in providing bespoke service solutions for investment funds characterized by closed-end structures and diverse portfolio investments.
This role presents a unique opportunity for candidates to engage with hybrid hedge and private equity products, catering to top-tier asset managers.
Role Significance
The PE NAV position serves as the central point in the provision of administrative services. Employees will collaborate daily with various functional teams, including trade operations, investor services, custody, tax, and financial reporting across globally diverse locations.
Key Responsibilities
As the Fund Accounting & Administration AVP, you will:
- Oversee a growing team of financial services professionals responsible for the production and delivery of accounting and administrative services for multiple alternative investment client relationships.
- Manage the allocation of income to investors, determine management and incentive fees in line with waterfall provisions, and process capital events such as capital calls and distributions.
- Handle portfolio and fund-level accounting for numerous funds, including the review and approval of monthly or quarterly net asset value reporting.
- Lead the onboarding of existing client funds and the initiation of new funds.
- Demonstrate a steadfast commitment to client satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Design and advocate for technology solutions that meet the complex reporting and data needs of clients.
- Identify and engage in cross-sell opportunities.
- Participate in strategic working groups to enhance processes and operational models.
- Recruit, train, motivate, and develop staff to achieve their full potential.
Qualifications
To excel in this role, candidates should possess:
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
- Effective time management capabilities.
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- A minimum of 5 to 6 years of experience in Private Equity.
- Familiarity with alternative investment asset classes, complex fund structures, and fee calculations.
- Outstanding communication and management skills.
- The ability to thrive in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
- CPA qualification is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience with Investran or Geneva is advantageous but not required.
