Job Summary

The Manager of Account Management is a key leadership role responsible for leading a high-performing team of Account Managers focused on customer retention, growth, and overall satisfaction for WebMD's Patient Engagement customers.

This position involves directing the development of Account Managers to achieve annual retention rate quotas, revenue expansion targets, and maintaining client satisfaction within a specified list of accounts.

The Manager of Account Management will be expected to travel with Account Managers to meet with key decision makers and influencers, and will be responsible for understanding patient engagement strategies, mapping existing solutions to client needs, and collaborating with senior leadership and finance personnel to develop account management team vision and strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attract, retain, and develop qualified, high-performing staff to serve as Account Managers for specified accounts.
  • Manage key performance metrics that Account Managers will be measured against, including revenue growth, client strategic account plans, executive relationships, quarterly partnership meetings, risk assessment, and referenceable customers.
  • Develop account management team vision and strategy in conjunction with senior leadership and finance personnel to meet sales quotas.
  • Provide consultation to employees or directly to clients on program best practices, industry developments, and other current and relevant strategic topics.
  • Understand and assist staff with identifying cross-sell opportunities to all WebMD Ignite product and service offerings.
  • Work with Account Managers to develop client-specific account plans, monitor program/product/service delivery, and ensure contract requirements and client expectations are met.
  • Partner with internal teams to help define client requirements, identify client's most pressing problems, and understand industry trends and hot button issues in support of product/content development and updates.
  • Assist with internal and external escalations.
  • Serve as sponsor for select strategic projects and product development efforts.
  • Manage the team's activities/key metrics via Salesforce.
  • Complete other administrative tasks, such as travel and expense reporting, in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field, such as health, communications, or business management, from a four-year college or university required.
  • Masters Degree or equivalent preferred.
  • At least five years of experience in healthcare IT sales/account management, or equivalent combination of education and experience with a focus on account management required.
  • Two years or more experience building and managing high-performance individuals and teams preferred.
  • Experience in the Digital patient engagement space preferred.

Travel Requirements: Some travel required, approximately % of the time.

Salary Range: $110,000 - $130,000
